Özbayrak, who was accepted to Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, Composition Main Art Branch in 2006, worked on composition and harmony with Turgay Erdener, and counterpoint with Sevgi Ünal. Then, in 2010, he was accepted to Graz Art University department of Composition and Music Theory and continued his studies with Gerd Kühr. Özbayrak, who won awards in various competitions in Turkey and abroad, continues his postgraduate studies with Turgay Erdener at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, and also works as a lecturer at Ankara Music and Fine Arts University.
