Istanbul Gedik University Piano Festival | Başar Can Kıvrak

Başar Can Kıvrak graduated magna cum laude from Bilkent University MSSF between 2003-2008. Kıvrak, who graduated summa cum laude from Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in 2012, won many awards in various national and international competitions.

He won the Third Prize in the 1st International Ferdi Statzer Piano Competition held in Istanbul in October 2002, the “Yamaha Award” in December 2004 and the “Grand Prix” (Grand Prize) at the 2nd International Young Virtuoso Piano Competition held in Sofia in April 2005. He performed in the Prokofiev Festival, Rachmaninoff Hall, Moscow Conservatory Small Hall and White Hall in Moscow.

He blazed a trail in Turkey by performing all of L.v Beethoven’s “Trio with Piano” in a series of five concerts.
